Well, it's been a while since I posted anything -- life has been crazy. I thought I would post a before and after picture of our pool reconstruction.

The before picture was a panoramic picture, where as the after is just a single shot, so it's a little hard to compare. Also the vegetation around the pool is definitely more mature than it was in the before picture. It is quite different now, and it turned out pretty nice, even if it took a lot longer than we hoped for it to get finished. We first were able to swim in it on Labor Day weekend, so we pretty much lost the whole summer. Thanks to a mild September we did get to swim a few more times in it, and we haven't closed it down yet so we may yet get a couple of more chances.
Well, what do you think? Can you tell much difference from these pictures?

Hey, you are alive out there! We've missed hearing from you. The pool looks great! The rocks around the new pool look lighter to me than the old one...other than that (and the more mature plants you mentioned) I can't see a lot of difference. Oh, I guess the slide looks different, too. It is harder to see the whole pool in the second picture, as you pointed out. Scott saw the pictures and said "hey, let's go visit them!" I told him we'd love to (and not just because of the pool).
It looks classier.
Glad it is finally done. Bummer that you lost the whole summer (especially when we were there visiting :))
